It rained here today(27/11/08). My first rain in the desert. I dont think that desert misses or craves the rain. It despises it. The rain soaks the ground for a couple of inches and creates a glutinous mud. Butm as you walk you lift off this top layer of mud leaving the dry desert layer exposed. This leaves a weird trainl of dry footprints among the darker mud. The mud then dries and leaves the ground with rock hard indentations and tire and track marks. Rain leaves the earht here scarred and torn...
